Pulsation damper when the flow is distributed over the discharge tube bundle

The article discusses the advanced device for damping pressure pulsations when the flow is distributed over the discharge tube bundle, which can be used to study the metrological characteristics of liquid flow measuring instruments, and can be used in the instrument-making industry.

Measuring Molten Metal Line with Microwave Radiation

The paper introduces design principles for a microwave device measuring the molten metal line in intermediate vessels. Analysis of electromagnetic waves reflected from the hot metal surface is given. Analytical relationships between characteristics of the reflected waves and the changed molten metal line are demonstrated. Characteristics of the standing wave developing between the electromagnetic energy source and the surface of the medium under control are analyzed. A set of circuit designs that provides the enhanced linearity of the conversion of an information signal into a distance between the wave transfer element and the object under control is proposed. A method for estimating coincidence of resistances between the microwave power transmission elements and the environment is given. The experimental results for the laboratory prototype meter are presented.

Measuring system for controlling the parameters of the person kinematic portrait. Part 1. Control system

The organization and creation of a system for evaluation the human condition on the basis of control measurements of the informative parameters values, characteristics and functions that describe the elements of the kinematic portrait of a person are considered in the paper. The description of algorithmic support for the identification of informative parameters for their subsequent evaluation is presented. Creation of algorithmic support is connected with creation of knowledge bases on the main clinical areas. Examples of obtaining estimates for the clinical field of neurosurgical profile are considered.

This article is a continuation of the work Measuring system for controlling the parameters of the person kinematic portrait. P. 1. Control system. The organization and creation of a system for evaluation the human condition on the basis of control measurements of the informative parameters values, characteristics and functions that describe the elements of the kinematic portrait of a person are considered in the paper. The reviewed materials are description of algorithmic support for measurement system control parameters of the person kinematic portrait to implement the output system formation evaluation and analysis of the development trend of the current situation.

Information and measurment system to assess the mutual influence of territories

The information and measurment system for monitoring of the adjacent and belonging territory and a railway track is considered. Information structure of the measurment system. Formulas for calculating intensity factors of influence of geotectonic and railway track is presented. Point-to-point and point-to-object impact assessments are described.

omputer Vision Hyperspectral Imaging system for assessing quality of agri-food products

A functional diagram of a robotic complex for sorting vegetables and fruit is presented. The main component of the complex is a computer vision system, which includes technical and software-algorithmic tools that provide the acquisition and processing of control objects images in the wavelength range of 400...1000 nm. Using a computer vision system, data were obtained proving that the intensity of reflection from damaged plant tissues is lower than that from healthy for all wavelengths in the range from 400 to 1000 nm. The reflection spectrum of damaged plant tissues is absent, or chlorophyll absorption bands are much less pronounced. These patterns made it possible to create a high-speed algorithm for processing control objects images intended for use in automated and robotic sorting complexes.

On the correctness of the presentation of values of quantities and accuracy indicators of indirect measurement results

Attention is drawn to some cases of incorrect representation of the values of the sought quantities and indicators of the accuracy of the results of indirect measurements

Peculiarities of applying the Taylor expansion of nonlinear functions connecting the desired value with the results of direct measurements of other quantities, which are necessary for taking into account the indirect measurement results when presenting, are noted. Using a specific example, it is shown that estimating the degree of approximation of a nonlinear function by the Taylor series allows one to determine direct measurements whose errors make a major contribution to additional errors of indirect measurements and makes it possible to consider various methods and means to eliminate or reduce to negligibly small values these additional errors.
