Development of the device for magnetic plethysmography

The article presents the scheme of registration of the pulse blood filling using magnetic plethysmography method, sensors constructions used for registration and their functionality, results of the registration of the pulse blood filling of blood vessels. Signals of the dynamics of pulse blood filling and the respiratory wave were obtained. According to results, it can be concluded that magnetic plethysmography method can potentially be used to estimate the heart rate, respiration rate and depth.

New quantum trap-detector for radiation thermometry

A new design of a quantum trap detector designed for use in radiation thermometry is proposed. A brief analysis of existing analogues is presented, justification of the advantages of the proposed trap detector is given. The value of the quantum efficiency and dynamic range of the detector is estimated.

Magnetic measuring converter for digital variation station

IZMIRAN, Russia is the only organization that develops and creates highly accurate instrument based on quartz magnetic sensors to record and study of geomagnetic variations. Currently, digital magnetic variation station (DMVS) are the main instrument for the conduct of long-term magnetic observation. This apparatus is equipped with all of the magnetic Observatory of Russia and many foreign observatories. The basic element of all DMVS is magnetic measuring converter. The paper considers the design of created modern magnetic measuring converter, which is based on the quartz magnetic sensor.

The automated system for monitoring of the environment. Assessing the humans state in emergency situations using a flying robot

The questions of monitoring of environment with use of a small-sized flying insect-like robot carrying on board an environment control system with low power consumption are considered. The data from the board of the robot is transferred to an intelligent decision support system that assesses both the level of environmental pollution and its impact on the health status of people in the emergency zone.

A modification of the diagram Vyshnegradsky

A modification of the diagram Vyshnegradsky, to simplify the problems of analysis and synthesis of parameters of measuring devices of the third order according to the criteria of dynamic accuracy. The features of the transient characteristics of such devices are shown.

Effect of quality optical connectors on coherent DWDM signal transmission systems 100G

A review of the main types of optical connectors used for connections in modern fiber-optic communication networks has been carried out, cases in which poor-quality detachable connections lead to a deterioration in the quality of transmission in coherent DWDM systems have been considered. Experimental studies confirming the occurrence of errors in the transmission of information using low-quality detachable connections were carried out.

Influence of pulsed electric field on the generation of charge in flow-based medical and diagnostic systems

In the present study, the influence of pulsed electric field on the process of charge generation upon the motion of water in a flow-based system, which is widely used in medical proteomic and diagnostic devices, is considered. It has been demonstrated that the use of pulsed electric field leads to an increase in the value of charge generated during the motion of liquid ( ~ 80 %, T = 35 ). The observed effect should be taken into account in the development of novel highly sensitive flow-based diagnostic systems.

Measuring the parameters of the sewing thread cutting process

An experimental study of the sewing thread cutting process is described. Methods for measuring the pressing force of the knives, the tension force of the thread, and the closing speed of the knives are considered. The obtained models that allow to evaluate the significance of the factors influencing the full trimming, and also found that the most significant factors are the pressing force of the knives and the tension force of the thread. The results of the research are applied in the design of the trimming mechanism on a multihead embroidery semi-automatic machine.
