Development of an optical scanning system for micro-SLM of metal powders
The features of the micro-SLM process are briefly considered in comparison with traditional SLM/SLS processes. The analysis of laser radiation sources for micro-SLM has been carried out. The requirements for designing a scanning system are given. Principal optical schemes are developed and optical calculations of two- and three-axis scanning heads are carried out. As a result of the calculations and analysis of the obtained systems, it was concluded that a three-axis scheme turned out to be preferable for the implementation of a scanning system for micro-SLM/SLS. A laser at a wavelength of λ = 0.532 μm with a power of 30 W was chosen as a laser source.
Keywords: selective laser melting/sintering (SLM/SLS), micro-SLM/SLS, two-axis and three-axis scanning system, collimator, scanning head, scanning mirror, telecentric and F-θ-lens, focal spot size.

Traits of mobile computer devices design for rugged applications
Design of new mobile computing devices demands a multi-faceted approach. In the very beginning at composing a technical specification it is necessary to bear in mind what trade-offs a completion of all desired requirement leads to and surely to consider designing, technological and economical possibilities, which are available to development groups and manufacturers. In this article general steps to solution of this task are observed in order to put reader`s mind to existing contradictions, key problems and to emphasize their influence on the choice of construction and composition of designed devices.
Keywords: rugged mobile computing hardware.

Geometric aspect of potential measurement accuracy
The article proposes an approach of vector consideration of the formation of measurement error (uncertainty). On this basis, a composite parameter is justified that determines the potential accuracy of measurement when the ratio of the scales of the measured and influencing quantities changes. When these scales change, the information capacity of the measurement accuracy estimates does not change gradually, but discretely (quantized) according to a certain pattern. The proposed approach to assessing the potential accuracy of measurements can be used to justify the requirements for the metrological characteristics of exemplary tools used in the breakdown of verification schemes.
Keywords: potential accuracy, measurement space, discrete variation of «potential and accuracy», scale ratio

The navigation integrity control approach based on the inertial and GNSS measurements
The article presents the structure of the algorithm for monitoring the integrity of an aircraft navigation solution based on the complex processing of data from the inertial navigation system (INS) and satellite navigation equipment (SNE). A feature of the algorithm is the ability to detect and evaluate distortions of an unknown nature, time of occurrence and magnitude in the navigation satellites pseudo-range measurements. To this end, the algorithm uses the author`s approach to the formation of thresholds and rules for making decisions on the possible presence of abrupt and slowly increasing distortions for further restructuring of the optimal estimator by changing the composition of the state vector for estimating distortion parameters. The type of estimator, rules and decision-making thresholds therewith depend on the requirements for the accuracy and integrity of the navigation solution, the characteristics of the INS and SNE, the dynamics of the aircraft, and may also vary depending on the current flight mode. The article provides the results of simulation modeling of the algorithm for monitoring the integrity of the navigation solution synthesized on the basis of the proposed structure for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). The principle operability of the synthesized algorithm is confirmed and the limits of its applicability for a specific type of INS and several types of distortions in the measurements of the pseudo-ranges of the SNE are estimated.

Application of highly sensitive photographic materials based on silver halides to study the effect of deviations of specklogram substrates on measurement results
The paper considers the use of highly sensitive photographic materials based on silver halides to study the effect of deviations of specklogram substrates on measurement results. Optical control methods allow obtaining high-precision and reliable information about the studied objects, therefore the work is promising and relevant. The paper sets the task and defines the method and object of research. The appearance and schematic diagram of the experimental installation are given. As a result of the experiment, a comparative analysis of the data showed that with symmetrical illumination of specklograms with two light beams, the measurement accuracy increases significantly. A significant result was obtained, which indicates the competitiveness of domestic holographic photographic materials based on silver halides over imported photographic materials.
Keywords: specklogram, photographic plate, phase measuring unit, measurement accuracy, measurement range, light beam.
