Development of industrial technology and specialized equipment for selective laser melting

The development of modern laser technologies requires the simultaneous development of software and hardware for automated industrial technological equipment. The article describes the result of the design, development and deployment of the ML6 series industrial laser technological equipment, developed by the group of companies Lasers and Equipment TM LLC for the deployment of SLM technology. It briefly describes the result of the development of a software package that performs the automated operation of industrial equipment, and the result of the joint use of software and hardware solutions.

Analysis of the distortion of a mirror-lens hydrographic lens with a removed entrance pupil

The article deals with the analysis of the distortion value of a plane-elliptical lens as a basic component of a small-sized hydrographic lens.

Heat generator with cavitation heat supply technology

Currently, there is an active search for environmentally friendly heat and power technologies that can ensure the safety of the environment. One of the solutions to the problem of economical heating is to change the approach to creating heat supply systems using renewable methods of generating thermal energy. As an alternative source of obtaining thermal energy, it is proposed to use the method of pulsed physical and chemical effects in a liquid, which lead to its heating. Currently, cavitation heat generators are new, promising equipment, which are heating installations that use the physical nature of cavitation to heat the coolant. The authors considered in detail the process of heat transfer in cavitation heat generators, and assessed the prospects for their use in new generation houses.

Automated installation for determining the parameters of semiconductors by the Van der Pau method

On the basis of the created control algorithm for the ATmega 2560 programmable microcontroller module, an installation has been developed for determining the parameters of semiconductors of arbitrary shape by the Van der Pauw method. The developed installation makes it possible to automatically determine the type of conductivity, resistivity, concentration and Hall mobility of the main charge carriers of various semiconductor materials, in particular semiconductors with nanoclusters of impurity atoms.

Improvement of portable magnetometric means of detecting explosive objects

The paper presents the main results of theoretical and experimental studies of ways to improve portable magnetometric detection tools. The analysis of existing types of magnetic field converters is carried out. The directions of improving and increasing the range of ferrosonde magnetometers are determined as the most suitable for the construction of portable magnetometric detection devices for special purposes. A method for increasing the sensitivity of ferrosonde magnetometric sensors through the use of new magnetic materials and circuit solutions is proposed. It is revealed that when carrying out work on the ground, obtaining such additional information as the depth of occurrence and orientation of explosive objects in space by means of a single magnetometer is difficult, since the trajectories of the operator's movement are geometrically weakly interconnected. It is proposed, based on the criterion of providing the greatest opportunities for detection and the pace of conducting a search under known weight and size constraints, to build a magnetometric system, driven and controlled by a pedestrian operator, from 4 linearly arranged magnetometric sensing elements. For the purposes of automated classification of search objects, it is proposed to take advantage of neural networks, which, unlike traditional machine learning, provide the possibility of high-level abstract expression of the semantics of internal connections between data through the choice of architectural solutions.

Information and measuring systems for examination of human coordination abilities

The article deals with the examination of special features of designing information and measuring systems for the purposes of examination of human coordination abilities during the processes of medical rehabilitation and sports training. Unlike in the case of systems for tracking movement kinematics, higher requirements of synchronicity of measurement of physical values performed by various sub-systems are applied to the systems for examination of coordination abilities. The criterion of efficiency required for minimization of time shift error considers the additional error due to the transfer of data via the system interface. Considering the impossibility of the movement beginning at the fixed moment of time, the requirement to consider the field of bind to the launch beat in the indicator of the signal importance is not considered anymore; at the same time the possibility of grouping the values on the basis of joint processing should be considered. The suggested algorithm forming the schedule of work of the systems modules in the ordered space of parameters and considering the indicator of the signal importance allows finding the solution which is optimal in terms of the selected criterion.

Overview of methods for powering pacemakers and other implantable medical devices that work without the use of replaceable batteries

This review is devoted to methods of powering implantable medical devices (pacemakers and other implantable autonomous systems) without the use of replaceable batteries. The article describes the general principles of operation and examples of the implementation of such types of nutrition for implantable products, and also assesses the prospects for the development of these methods in the development of commercial samples of products.

Testing & Control + NDT Russia 2021 Forums

The article provides a brief description of the equipment presented at the forums Testing & Control and NDT Russia 2021. The exhibitions were attended by about 100 exhibitors, Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers, who demonstrated a wide range of equipment providing instrumental control, quality control of products for aviation and missile space industries, military-industrial complex, machine-building, metallurgical, construction, electronic industry, oil and gas industry, energy and other industries. Equipment and technological solutions were presented in the following areas: testing equipment, measuring and metrological equipment, equipment for production control, machine vision, equipment for non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics, equipment for laboratory control, diagnostics and monitoring systems. The exhibition was aimed at metrologists, technologists, specialists from quality control departments, test centers and production laboratories.
