Intelligent resistive temperature sensor

An analysis is made of the currently existing methods of metrological self-validating of resistive temperature sensors, which make it possible to control the change in the metrological characteristics of the resistive temperature detector (RTD) and thereby evaluate the reliability of the information transmitted by the sensor. An intelligent resistive temperature sensor using the self-heating of the vehicle due to the flowing current for a fixed time is proposed. The difference in the measured values of the RTD resistance before and after self-heating is used to judge the error in measuring the temperature by the sensor that occurs due to external conditions and aging of the RTD. Prototypes of an intelligent temperature sensor were manufactured. An experimental study of various types of RTDs was carried out: copper wire TSM-100 and platinum TSP-100, thin-film platinum Pt-100. The change in resistance of Pt-100 during self-heating is an order of magnitude higher than the similar change in resistance of TSM-100 and TSP-100, therefore, studies with RTD aging were carried out only with Pt-100. An artificial change in the metrological characteristics of RTDs was achieved due to accelerated aging of RTDs by establishing high temperatures for a certain time. Experimental studies have shown that the proposed intelligent temperature sensor allows not only to evaluate the change in the metrological characteristics of the RTD due to environmental influences and aging, but also to correct the appearing error of temperature measurement under certain conditions.

TRITEL dosimeter as an instrument of space experiment Mftroshka-R. New possibilities for radiation environment monitoring aboard the International space station russian segment

Description and technical characteristics of TRITEL dosimeter are presented. TRITEL dosimeter was developed within the framework of scientific collaboration between Centre for Energy Research Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA EK) and Institute of Biomedical Problems Russian Academy of Sciences (IBMP RAS). TRITEL dosimeter was designed for study of dose dynamics and its angular distribution in different compartments of the International Space Station Russian Segment (ISS RS) and in other ISS modules.

Characteristics of TRITEL dosimeter and other related instruments that were used to study radiation environment aboard the ISS are compared in the paper.

Resource-efficient control in energy-metallurgical production complex

The issues of construction of integrated control of energy saving processes in power-metallurgical production complex of metallurgical enterprise using the concept of resource-saving station are considered. Within the framework of this concept, it is proposed to solve the problems of system analysis using conditional flows of saved resources at the technical and economic level for multi-level energy saving tasks. Solutions of the following related problems are considered at the level of technological processes: operational control of efficiency of power boilers according to the current efficiency and operational control of thermal state of blast furnace processes according to the criterion of reduction of specific fuel consumption.

Automatic quality inspection of pipe (can) surface

The optoelectronic system of automatic quality inspection of pipe (can) surface is presented. The system structure, the measurement methods in use and the inspection process execution are considered. The performance specification of the system is given.

Air humidity consideration at calibration critical nozzles for gas flow measurement

The experimental results of the dependence of air volume flow rate through critical Venturi nozzles vs. the air humidity at atmospheric pressure are presented. The results were obtained by calibration of five critical nozzles (with nominal flow rates from 2 to 50 m3/h) on a bell-type reference rig as part of the State Primary Standard of Volume and Mass Gas Flow Rate Units GET 1182017. It has been established that the method of A. Aschenbrenner is expedient to be used for determination the coefficient of humidity influence for given operating and design parameters.

Influence of the size of the analyzing aperture on the determining the output brightness uniformity of the image converter tubes

The indicators of uneven brightness of the screen of the image converter tubes: output brightness non-uniformity ratio and output brightness uniformity. The relations between them are determined. The article substantiates the criteria for determining the size of the analyzing diaphragm when determining the optical parameter of the image intensifiers the output brightness uniformity.
